Is Astral Projection Something You Should Experiment With?

15 February, 2010 (23:59) | Charity | By: Benjamin Parry

Astral projection is something that you already have some awareness of. No doubt you’ve heard the phrase used in conversation, in a movie or TV program or seen it in a book or magazine. What you might not know is that you can astral project; anyone can, in fact. Youve already done so, though you might not remember it.

In order to determine if you have had an astral projection experience or to begin learning to astral project it is important to understand what astral projection is. Simply put astral projection is when your spirit body leaves your physical body. This is something that happens naturally at night when you are asleep, but it is possible for you to do it consciously and control the journey of your spirit body.

Astral projection allows you to visit any place you like and do anything without limitations imposed by time or space. As a child, you probably were able to do this easily every time you slept. When we age though, its common to forget how to use this ability.

What is your astral body? It is a non-corporeal and invisible double of your physical self. It is the manifestation of your subconscious mind and as such represents your core desires and your willpower. What keeps your astral body from leaving permanently and wandering the universe? Your physical body and your astral body have an unbreakable bond referred to as the silver cord.

This cord keeps your two beings connected from the moment you’re born until your last breath. As long as you live, your astral body will always come back to your physical form after its travels.

Where is it exactly that we go when astral projecting? You visit the astral plane which is to the physical universe as your astral body is to your physical body. There is no universal agreement among the experts about exactly how the astral plane is structured but most agree that the astral plane is an alternate reality which vibrates at a different rate than our own, just slightly out of sync with the universe we inhabit physically and that there are many different levels to the astral plane..

After learning this information, it is only natural to start to wonder if there are any dangers to astral project. The answer is not as simple as a straightforward yes or no. While astral projection is something that everyone is capable of doing and that the astral body is attached to the physical body by a tie that can only be broken by death there is still a need to remain conscience of what is going on while astral projecting and be in a state to maintain that frame of mind.

Astral projection while you’re under the influence of drugs or alcohol can be somewhat risky. When youre not in total control of yourself, your astral body is limited to the lowest and most hazardous levels of the astral plane. If you’re not careful, there is a danger of psychological harm.

Exercise the same care you would in a place you don’t know in the physical universe. Just be aware of your surroundings and youll be fine. However, the aim of astral projection isn’t just to stay safe; it’s to practice the ability until you’re able to do it consciously and be in total control of your thoughts.

There are a number of ways to get prepared to do astral projection prior to starting it. Several professionals can be found to assist you in learning various techniques so that you get to the point where you have better control so that you have a gratifying experience, but on this note people usually rather be in their own house while doing astral projection.

The internet has a wealth of information on astral projection and there are a number of books, which describe a number of techniques that can be used in order to prepare the mind and body for astral projection. There are even recordings that use hypnosis to assist in astral projection. There is an advantage to these types of recordings. You can have them play on repeat giving people who may find it difficult to prepare the time necessary to reach the appropriate state of mind; this extra time might not be available if professional sessions are used.

Something called binaural beats, a new audio recording technique have made it possible for many people to astral project. Two frequencies which are just slightly different are listened to, one in each year. The result is that your brainwaves tune to the proper frequency for astral projecting.

If you are unable to astral project at first, do not be concerned. It is something that requires practice to be able to do. It is important to remember that this is not actually an acquired skill but something that is already known to each person. They simply need to remember how to astral project and then to practice in order to obtain a level of proficiency.

If you are still unsure, that astral projection is something that is known to everyone consider these things. Have you ever felt like you were falling, even though you were standing or laying still, how about dreaming about flying. Often times this is the result of astral projection. The falling feeling usually comes when the two bodies rejoin each other and the sensation of flight comes from actually moving through the astral plane. It is a real ability that everyone has, everyone can use and all it needs is a bit of fine-tuning in order to be able to do it at will.

Astral Projection Techniques Explored

2 February, 2010 (00:05) | Charity | By: David Simmeon

There are numerous astral projection techniques that individuals can use to assist them with astral project. Due to the fact of people being individuals, what is successful for one may not be for another. Several people have trouble with some of the methods though, and not due to the method, it is because they can’t relax.

Relaxation must be total, complete. It’s essential for any of the seven techniques of astral projection to be successful. The inability to relax is caused by fear. It’s common among those just learning these techniques. The fears are the result of false beliefs that maybe harm, or even death could come to the person who is trying astral project. To help alleviate those fears the Canterbury Institute conducted and researched a study. The Canterbury Institute is well know for their studies of the occult.

Two thousand people were included in this study, all of the two thousand participated in the studies of the seven techniques of astral projection.. The findings of the institute confirmed that not one person, using the seven techniques of astral projection, were harmed in anyway. Even more important, the people in this study have also been followed during the past three years and not one person has complained of any problems.

Now all concerns and fears can be put aside to rest. Lets take a look at seven of the techniques of astral projection that are pretty easy. These techniques have been successful for quite a few people, many in fact. One that is known is the Monroe and consist of seven steps of astral projection or the seven techniques of astral projections:-

* Relaxing mind and body is a must. Many techniques for learning to relax are available for you to use. Deep breathing is a simple one to use and is just deep breathing, slow and calm. Inhale deeply and exhale deeply. Relax all your muscles bodily, one at a time, alternately tensing and relaxing them. You can start down at your toes and work your way up.

* Go into what is called the hynagogic state. This is where your body and mind are almost asleep. You don’t desire to go to sleep. Use the gazing method to accomplish this. As you lie in bed focus on an object and remain staring until when your eyes close that you still can picture the object.

* Once you can visualize the object when your eyes are closed you will need to take the state you are in deeper. A good method of doing this is glance around (with closed eyes) and notice what you are able to see. Its possible that you may see light patterns that are different, you may notice the room is veiled in purple. Don’t take too much notice of this, once you cease seeing this light you will have successfully deepened your state. You are so totally relaxed now that you are no longer aware of your body physically. This is vital as per the Monroe Technique of astral projection.

* This step four is most important with Monroe. You have to enter the Vibration state. Several people who have been doing astral projection techniques for a long time say they feel the vibration early in the astral projection. It is thought by these people that the feel of vibration is what happens when the astral body starts to leave your physical body. Don’t be alarmed, only feel these vibrations.

* Now control the vibration while in this state. Focus, make the vibrations move through your body. This is done with your mind. You want to feel the vibrations through your whole body. Like waves washing over you. Practice this until you can feel the waves anytime you want them. When you can create waves on demand successfully you are ready to leave the body.

* The key component to astral projection and astral travel is to have control, that your mind is the one in power. To help strengthen this control Monroe recommends at this point you practice a “partial separation.” Keeping your mind focused on the idea of leaving the physical body, first let a hand or a foot go of the astral body. Stretch them to an object that is near you, such as the wall, the floor or another familiar object, then push your hand or foot through that object. Once you do that, return your foot or hand back to the physical body, slow down the vibrations and end the session. Stay laying down until your body has returned to a fully awake state.

* With this step you will finally leave your body. Follow steps one through six. This time your whole body will be used, not just a foot. Move completely into your astral body. A simple adjustment to step six is required. This time you are focusing on releasing the astral body instead of one appendage. Focus on releasing the astral body Thinking how light it feels. As weightless as a cloud, you can float like a feather in a light breeze. Now the astral body should move out and away from the physical body, you feel as though you are floating, or even flying.

There are other methods that you can try, such as the Rope Technique, the Gazing Method, and the Anchor Technique. Spend sometime trying different techniques to see which will work best for you. There is an astral projection technique for everyone.

However, you should be aware that not everyone is able to astral project instantly using the above techniques and some of these require a lot of practice.

There is a shortcut luckily! Through recent sound technology developments, audio tools exist that can assist you. These recent techniques utilize special frequencies of sound call Binaural beats, which balance the brain’s two hemispheres, instantly placing you into a state of meditation, required for astral projection.

Also you can attain the state of relaxation required by listening to good hypnosis recordings for astral projection techniques. They signal the subconscious mind to the fact that it is fine if your astral body departs your physical body.

Astral projection, truly an experience for anyone who tries it. And with these techniques it’s possible for everyone, who wishes to, to experience it.

Eight Steps Of Effective Giving

16 January, 2010 (00:08) | Charity | By: Masami Sato

A new development is revolutionizing many lives in the hamlets of India by bringing brightness where there used to be blackness.

An article was published in The New York Times named, “Husk Power for India”. Current, which is routinely available in the lives of most in industrialized nations, is an unimaginable luxury in out-of-the-way corners of emerging countries. What was once fodder for cattle is now used to produce current – rice husks.

Being brought up in the pastoral Bihar State, Manoj Sinha knew what it was like to be without light at night. Being an engineer with Intel Corporation he had all the competence to bring a lifelong idea to fruition. He led the creation of his power generation equipment from rice husks and other wastes from farms and now he sells power to rural areas across India.

Sinha is what could be called a social entrepreneur because he feels business is a solution to key social issues. “Business leaders must realise that the world’s poor need investments more than handouts,” he says, adding, “these are customers, not victims.”

The article stimulated me to think about gifting in a different way prompting me to ask myself, “what is the most ideal form of giving?” Is it learning, business transaction or aid work? There are so many methods to make a difference. One way of gifting can appear to be more effectual or maintainable than other ways based on the way it is conveyed, seen or applied.

I then came to identify there were eight sections to giving as a form to perceive this. So, let me outline the eight methods; which in effect are often ‘phases’ of giving as well.

Stage one: Necessity – saving and helping others who are afflicted by natural catastrophe, contagious diseases or other unmanageable conditions.

Phase two: Respite – providing respite from enduring need, poverty, ill-health, disadvantages or prejudice which otherwise would continue or deteriorate because of the lack of awareness, training or resources.

Stage three: Healing and protection – mentally, physically and emotionally. Many people carry traumas that may be invisible but severely limiting their lives. Giving the healing to release the deep-rooted pain creates more opportunities for them while giving suitable protection gives them a sense of security.

Stage four: Education – giving better education, information and skill training to create empowered and creative solutions to resource generation while supporting individuals to discover their unique talent to thrive.

Stage five: Creative investment – lending a hand, money or resources to those who have great potential to make a difference. This gets leveraged many times as the resources increase and passed on to many others who again make more out of the opportunities given.

Phase six: Maintainability – working collectively involving the people in the local surroundings, creating maintainable society – ecologically and communally.

Phase seven: Empowerment – enabling and motivating the people to release their true ability and power to make a change. In this group of sharing, the aim of giving changes from ‘giving to the people who want’ to ‘giving people a chance to give to others’ and to the society.

Phase eight: Caring – just doing whatever we want to do to cherish and care for others. No tactic or expected result exists in this phase of giving. ‘Giving’ does not even exist here in the conventional sense of the word, as there is no sense of ownership or reasoning or yearning to alter anything. This is where we do not even have to worry about anything, we give as a part of our own delightful sense of being.

What we also see is that at each of these eight phases of sharing there are many things that the giver gets in return.

One: Sense of connection

Two: Sense of well being

Three: reprieve from ache (our own)

Four: Gratitude for our own knowledge, skills and circumstances

Five: Long-term sense of involvement and fulfillment for our own life

Six: Improved environment for our own life and for the lives for all those we love and care for

Seven: Soul gratifying encouragement and devotion to our own purpose

Eight: Care

Sharing has many stages and sensations based upon the donor and getter. And the ‘phases’ do not detail which one is of more importance than the other. All are mandatory.

I was lucky to have an experience early in 2008 while journeying with a group of devoted entrepreneurs across India to see how we could be more productive in our helping. I was particularly happy to have one outstanding encounter that led me to think about what ‘actual giving’ really meant.

We were in a small town one day. Four of us had just called a taxi to take us to another town in the vicinities. We bargained with the driver with care as our hotel staff had told us beforehand that we could be duped since we were not local.

We halted briefly in front of the local train station for a short recess on the way. While the others went to use the restroom, I tried to chat with our taxi driver standing near his vehicle. With his limited knowledge of English and a wonderful smile that showed his blackened front teeth, he told me that he had a house on the suburbs of the town and he had a sweet wife and two lovely kids who went to the local school – I felt a strong bonding with him.

I appreciated the fact of his having such a wonderful family and told him that I too had two little ones of almost the same ages as his. When the others were back the driver suddenly invited us to come to his house and have lunch. I took it only as a formality that was customary courtesy. But after taking us to the town center and leaving us there, he told us that he would wait for us until all our wandering in the town was over. And he really did. I was actually quite astonished to see him still remaining glued to the side of the road next to his taxi more than one hour later. We got into the taxi and he drove fast up the road to where he had his family.

When we landed there we were quite surprised to see the way he was living. It was in fact quite similar (if not worse) to the existence of the slum dwellers we had visited before that. From the bright new taxi he was driving, who could have pictured this

As he drove into the narrow unsealed street between small houses that were made with roughcast concrete blocks and mud painted walls, we almost regretted about saying yes to his invite. For a brief moment I felt pangs of guilt. “How could I go to this man’s home who didn’t seem to have anything and I didn’t even bring any food or gifts for his family”, I thought.

As we went inside his house, we saw a vessel and a small stove on the floor. His timid young wife raised her head in surprise and withdrew into the small store room (a cupboard size) adjacent to it. As I took in the scene, I saw the neighbours residing next door giving her a few cups across the broken down concrete fence. The young couple did not even have sufficient teacups in their house. There was a single room fitted with one single bed and a pretty old galvanised box near it.

The taxi driver quickly pulled out three hand-woven rugs from the chest and rolled them out on the small patch of mud floor putting one on the bed.

Soon the cups of tea and some snacks arrived. All his children and children from the neighborhood came to see us and stood in the doorway. All six of us were totally squashed in the tiny room. I curiously asked him where all his children were sleeping. I thought they probably had another space somewhere. To my surprise, he cheerfully pointed the chest and said it was their bed with his beaming smile.

He cheerfully informed us that he was a dancing expert of the area and pointed at the medals displayed on the recess above his bed. Bent on showing us his dancing skills he at once ran outside. From some place music started coming into the tiny room. He has no arrangement for music in the house, it was flowing in from outside. I wondered where it came from till I saw him bringing his taxi in reverse to the back wall of his house with the doors open and music flowing in from the high volume car radio!

The time quickly passed (dancing together and having more cups of tea) and it was finally time to say thank you for their great hospitality and head on our way. As we stood up to leave and thank him and his wife, he reached to the best looking rug on the bed, rolled it up and handed it to us. It was one of the only few things he had. I could not believe he offered it to us.

We all courteously begged off his gift and moved out waving goodbye to all the people waving back at us. We got real baffled about the whole affair. Should we have paid them something as they surely had only too little money? Should we have consented to take the cherished gift he made us?

As I was thinking about this awe-inspiring experience after a few days, I considered our begging off his gift. He looked crest-fallen that we didn’t accept the gift. It wasn’t only the rejecting of the gift that remained in my mind.

I realised that the feeling of restlessness I felt was in reality the result of seeing him as less privileged. I was feeling that I couldn’t probably receive anything from someone who owned too little.

But did he actually have modest means? Maybe he had other things – a lot more.

Maybe the perfect gift we could have given him then was to accept his gift in total surrender and gratefulness.

All acts of giving and receiving are necessary for us to fill our world with abundance and fulfillment equally for both giver and receiver. We can start doing this instead of judging and justifying one over another. The pure act of giving and receiving requires no further explanation.

Manoj Sinha’s words continue to reverberate in my mind, “these are customers, not victims.” I can picture the happy faces of the rural folk who are now pleased to have power in their hamlets and the kids who now can read books and happily do their homework at night.

Cosmic Ordering And Its Effect On Your Life

15 January, 2010 (00:05) | Charity | By: Samantha Hill

Today people have become more and more aware are trying different ways to lead a more fulfilled life. A lot of alternatives are available these days to allow you to make your dreams come true, however nothing compares to cosmic ordering.

Cosmic ordering is nothing but a different form of a spiritual practice which enables you to get all your wishes and desires fulfilled by the universe. All you need to do is to ask or just order and you will get it. Though this may be some what a spiritual process but it doesn’t mean you need to be a saint to get the results. Yes, if you are one, then it will only help but this process works for normal people as well.

When you are able to spiritually manifest your goals and dreams, then it’s known as cosmic ordering. All you need to do is ask for what you want from the universe or just state your ambition. It can be something as easy as getting a new pen to some thing as big as wanting to be a millionaire. You don’t have to know how it will happen, whether it will happen by changing your life or conditions.

Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. Wayne Dyer believe that to manifest your order with the universe, you need to be in something known as the ‘field of intent’. This is nothing but an invisible energy field which aids and catalyses the connection between the spirit and the universe and helps in manifesting our desires.

There is a high probability that you have done cosmic ordering before without realizing what it really was. If you jog your memory, then there must have been a time when you really wanted something badly and you got it. Most people term it as a coincidence and don’t realize the true power they have. It’s never a coincidence, it was just cosmic ordering.

Power of intention is vital to cosmic ordering since intention is nothing but an amalgamation of our innermost faith and desires. We need to have complete conviction that we deserve what we want and really want it. This is the only way to make cosmic ordering work.

People may express their desire for a new car or a new pay raise. However nothing works till you believe that you are not worthy or you didn’t work hard for getting them. You need to actually be dead sure and have complete conviction that you deserve it and you will get it.

This process of cosmic ordering is one of the simplest and the easiest to do and it can really give you a better life. The only downside is that you need to use it well and for manifesting positive things. If you believe that you will just get negative then it will work in the way you think and you may get negative things.

For instance if you think that your boss is out to fire you and believe it, then you will end up getting fired one day. Hence if you don’t want the negative, than think and just concentrate on all the positive things you want to manifest.

Living in negative and pessimistic mindset and circumstances for years together has led many people to believe that they don’t deserve to be happy. Hence, for these kind of people manifesting their desires is a Herculean task; almost unattainable.

The subconscious mind can even resist the change and become a foe to prevent us from changing our lives. Therefore, to succeed in cosmic ordering, you need to condition your subconscious to believe that you deserve all the good things of life and are ready to accept them.

Communication with the subconscious mind can be accomplished by self hypnosis, meditation and simple affirmations. It’s not tough at all!

People around the world have used cosmic ordering to make their life more joyful and fun. So, you too order your heart’s desires and have a great life which is full of love and happiness.

Driven Purpose

27 December, 2009 (21:43) | Charity | By: admin

Cars are one of the most amazing things that were provided for us by technology. To be honest and straight forward, in my honest opinion, people today will not be able to do the things that they do. A car is really a powerful thing that has been given to us by technology. But did you know that aside from being used in roads, there can be other purposes that a car may serve? For example, it can serve as a means for you to do some charity work. You can make a car donation with your car. This will make great use of your car. It will make your car worth it.

When people make a vehicle donation through a charity car donation program, they tend to give away their car for some real good purposes. They make it to a point that they make use of their car in such a way that they are not the only ones that will be benefited. They are able to help a lot of others. With no intention to make it sound like it is a bid time donation, I will still say that such donation is a big one. Since cars are costly, it seems that a car donated will raise a lot of money that will be used to deal with the needs of people.

Your cars are not just for the roads. They can serve as many purposes as they can if only you know how to see these other purposes. These might be a key for you to see that there are times when you cab do things that will benefit others and not just you.

If you want to make some good act, this might be the perfect chance for you.

When you are to make a boat donation, you should not think of working on your own. When you are to do this thing, you need some guide. This guide can be provided for you by a charity boat donation program. This will now ensure you of the success of the attempt to help others. This is one perfect opportunity for you to show that despite all those problems that you are having, you will still have the capacity to do good things thinking not your own sake but for the sake of others. It is a perfect show of humanity.

Let us not forget to always do something good because all of these will be rewarded in ways you never expected them to be. Doing good things for others has its own rewards and it will be up for you to discover and grab these rewards.

Leigh Steinberg Believes In Recycling

27 January, 2009 (04:41) | Charity | By: Mary Stewart

Recycling is a matter for all of us to participate. I read with great interest the article that I happened to find on LeighSteinber.org. It talked about how recycling is something that even our ancestors participated in as a means to ensure that they could survive with a lot less waste.

We’re now beginning to understand the impact that recycling has on the world in which we live. Fortunately many people here in the US get it. They have recycle bins by the curbside and think twice before they throw certain things into the garbage can, rather than the recycle bin.

I recently participated in a project to recycle cell phones. I cant remember the organization that sponsored this project, but essentially you put used cell phones into a pre-paid mailer and those cell phones get shipped out to the our men and women overseas. This gives them the ability to call home to their loved ones.

I think that this project is a fantastic idea and hope that many more projects like that are sponsored. Its not only good for the environment, but good for the soul. You feel that you’ve at least given some value back to society, while helping save our planet.

The blog on LeighSteinberg.org had plenty of examples of recycling, including how you can turn glass into useful items for tabletops and landscaping decorations. I was reminded of a program that talked about just that idea on a cable TV channel.

Many people don’t realize that there is a $25 Billion industry that takes cars and recycle their parts. This industry is so beneficial to saving our planet, because there is so much waste in unused cars and parts. There are also many organizations that help donors donate their used cars to needy communities and charities.

Every day were accosted with the absolute wastefulness of a hyper-linked society. Sometimes I feel that the Internet actually accentuates the problem. Were bombarded by information and digital advancements at breakneck speeds. For example, every 60 days, a new HDTV is rolled out. First it was 720P, then 1080i, 1080P and now 3D HD. This constant upgrade cycle prompts many to want the next big thing.

It seems that we’ve reached a breaking point. How much technology can we possibly consume and not recycle effectively monitors, computers, and old TVs now with the need to go digital and, what about ink cartridges? As my daughters would say, OMG! Think about how many of these someone uses in a 30 to 60 day period.

Ink cartridges, in fact, are a great example of an item which should and could be easily recycled. You have plenty of options to return it … back to the manufacturer, take it to a local retailer or even re-ink them through a dealer, either locally or through mail order. Youd be saving money and the planet!

There are many more ideas for recycling on this blog. The bottom line is that recycling shouldn’t necessarily be an option, but in a way, a civic duty. The best thing about recycling, though, is that it’s not only good for your pocket book, but good for your soul. Try it and you’ll see what I mean.

Donating Your Car For Autism

26 January, 2009 (05:17) | Charity | By: Chris Chandler

Do you know a person suffering with autism and want to help affect the future of autism treatments? One of the best methods is to give money or possessions to autism charities. The impact of autism research will affect future generations.

With the need increasing everyday with increasing cases of autism, the chances that someone you know will be affected by the disorder. Donating an auto makes a world of difference in going toward the research needed to get to the cure.

If you are tired of looking at your old clunker of a car in the backyard or garage, then consider donating a car. An old car can often be more trouble than it is worth, just to maintain and repair. It can be like throwing money down the drain just to keep up an old car.

If you in the market for a new car and want to avoid the hassle of selling or trading your current vehicle? You can now contribute towards research for the one in 166 children now diagnosed with autism by donating your car to the National Autism Association. It’s a hassle-free way to put that clunker to good use, and is tax-deductible as well.

Many people like donating a car because of the tax write-off and it is a lot easier sometimes to an old car rather than get the cash out of the bank. Especially in this economy. One of the best places to begin is the Autism Society of America

If you are interested in donating a automobile to any Charity that benefits Autism, we recommend looking at several Autism charities and finding out for yourself what is the best fit for your charity giving.

I am pleased to disclose that the Autism Society of America is effectively working to help essential research programs through their automobile donation program. If you donate your car, it will help future generations of autistic kids!

If you fancy to donate a auto, truck, RV boat, etc., or even land, autism is a worth cause to give to. When looking at the charitable organization, make sure they are a 501-C3 nonprofit compliant in good standing with the US government.
